Server Room Infrastructure Cleanup & Operational Improvement

Before photo of server rack cleanup project After years of unmanaged cabling, inconsistent documentation, and IT staff turnover, Erika Hernandez helped restore structure and reliability to a disorganized server room environment. The project required both technical attention to detail and practical project coordination to assess the existing setup, identify problem areas, organize cabling, improve labeling, and create a more maintainable infrastructure space.

This work improved more than the appearance of the server room. It made troubleshooting easier, reduced confusion for future IT staff, improved visibility into connected systems, and created a cleaner foundation for ongoing infrastructure support.

This project reflects Erika’s ability to bring order to complex technical environments, document improvements clearly, and strengthen day-to-day IT operations through practical, hands-on execution.

Before the project, the rack had years of unmanaged cabling, unclear organization, and limited visibility into how systems were connected. This made troubleshooting slower and created confusion for anyone supporting the environment.

A large amount of unused and unnecessary cabling was removed from the server room. Clearing this equipment improved access, reduced clutter, and made the environment safer and easier to work in.
